hunting

If you are looking for a unique hunting experience, we have just the right offer for you. – Situated in the heart of one of the most game-rich regions of Namibia, our farm extends over an area of 8113 hectares, about 140 km west of Windhoek, between Okahandja and Karibib. Big concessions on other farms ensure that you can also hunt for game species not found on our farm.

Professional Hunters

Olaf or Rolf Haase are ready to guide and accompany you on your hunt on Wilhelmstal Nord. Rolf is a professional hunter in second generation and Olaf in third generation. With this pair of seasoned and passionate hunters by your side, you are guaranteed to make unforgettable hunting memories.

Olaf and Rolff are supported by our tracker, Klemens, from the Kavango Region. He joined our hunting team in 2019 and is happy to help make your hunt a success.

Hunting Season

Hunting season in Namibia starts on 1 February and ends on 30 November. For the protection of game, the season is closed between December and January.

Climate and Attire

Namibia has 340 days of sunshine a year. Nevertheless, winter does make its appearance around the beginning of June and sticks around till the end of August. During the day you will still experience pleasant temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius, but at night it can get quite cold. If you go game stalking in the morning or evening in winter, you will need a thick wool sweater or a Parka. The rest of the year, hunting shirts or T-shirts are sufficient. We also recommend packing a hat, sunscreen, lip balm with a sunscreen, sunglasses as well as sandals and closed, ankle-high hunting boots.

We have compiled a printable checklist for your holiday packing.

Rifle Rental

Should you not be able to bring your own rifle, you can make use of one of our rental rifles for a daily fee. Ammunition is not included in the hunting price. For more information on our arms, calibres etc., please contact us via e-mail.

Import of arms and hunting regulations

If you bring your own rifle, we recommend a calibre of at least 30.06. For most large antelope you would need an even bigger calibre. You should also carry ammunition for at least 40-50 shots for shooting in your rifle on our shooting range. When you import a rifle to Namibia, you are allowed to carry a maximum of 80 shots per rifle. If you plan on bringing your own rifle to Namibia, we recommend booking a direct flight to Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek.

Don’t hesitate to contact us for clarification. Click on this link for more information on different calibres.

Namibian customs regulations require every hunter to declare their arm(s) upon arrival. For this you need a valid firearms licence from your country of residence and an invitation from your Namibian host, i.e. from us. Upon arrival in Windhoek, you must present your firearm(s) as well as any ammunition. The number of the firearm and ammunition is entered into an application form available at Namibian customs. Based on this application, you will immediately be issued with a temporary Namibian firearms licence. The import of fist-fire and automatic arms is not permitted.
